Venice Photo Diary (Dec 2012/Jan 2013)
Finally got down to sorting out the photos from my trip to Venice! What a beautiful city – despite the cold, it was sunny for the greater part of the holiday which meant that we got to enjoy the city's gorgeous architecture as we walked along the winding canals. Getting lost in Venice was easy but fun, searching for back roads and alleyways that led to pockets of quiet, away from the more touristic sites. The perfect romantic getaway :)

Silent City
Since we're not just three collaborators but also three best friends, we try to meet up as much as we can. It's usually for weekend lunch, somewhere round Valletta, trying out quaint little places or seaside restaurants. Last weekend we decided to step out of our little food comfort zone and try out Indian cuisine in Mdina. Thank God we did! The inside of the restaurant was cool, the waiters nice (if you know what we mean) and the food delicious! Mdina, being on top of a hill, exposed us to the chilly blades of the wind, so we couldn't stand outside for more than two minutes without tiptoeing on the spot to stay warm. We transferred our frozen bottoms to Fontanella for some warm drinks and stretched out our outing until we'd had enough of each other... Just kidding!
New Silhouette
So, I'm back. While I sort through the Venice pics, thought I'd post about the first 2013 outfit I wore back in Malta yesterday. Sometimes I feel like I put myself into a fashion rut, sticking to my comfort zone in skinny jeans, shirt/sweater, chelsea boots combo. So I decided to go for a different silhouette this time around.
Out With the Old, In With the New…
2012 has been very good to me, it has seen new opportunities, travels, new projects, success, achievement and even failure. It has given me new friendships and a deep sense of appreciation for true friends who have been by my side through thick and thin. Most of all 2012 saw the start of this blog with 2 very special people who I am very blessed to call friends, even though they've become so much more.
As we welcome a new year, this post being the first of many more to come in 2013, I thought it would be fitting to post my outfit from what has to be one of my favourite events of the year. A few of my friends and I take it upon ourselves to cook for 30 of our closest friends and celebrate another year of friendship and memories as well as Christmas time and the start of a new year.
Below is a sneak peek of the outfit I put together, including my favourite purchase of the year, a pair of boots which I picked up on a recent trip to Milan. If you know me, you know that I'm what can be described as most definitely allergic to any form of shoe with a heel, so this purchase was a first for me! They're the perfect pair of shoes, be it paired with a casual dress, more formal attire for work or just a plain pair of jeans! Best of all, total bargain!
