See You Next Year!

Hi Lovelies,

I'm off to Venice for New Year's tomorrow and I'll be back on the fourth! Until then I'm sure Sandro and Nicole's posts will keep you entertained, but I'll promise to try and queue some posts about a trip I took to Paris last summer, so keep your eyes peeled ;)

Love and Merriment,
C x

Monochrome Madness

With this being the festive season and all, I thought: "What could be a more perfect time to write my first blog post and introduce myself here?"!

This time of the year puts me in a great mood and it's not only the mince pies and mulled wine but definitely because I get to spend more time with my closest friends and family and put my Christmas presents to good use.

By The Skin Of Your Teeth

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that our wardrobes can be our best friends and our worst enemies. I cannot count the number of times I've opened my wardrobe and stared at its contents, waiting for the outfit to magically jump out into my open arms.

There are things to consider, of course. The weather, the occasion, the company – all the little factors that make us reach for our sweaters rather than our shirts (or vice versa).

The outfit I'm presenting here is a variation on the same theme, in that I've been wearing the same jacket while switching between different sweaters, trousers and, sometimes, shoes (rain? no rain? anyone?) for quite a while now. The fur lining on the collar doubles as a scarf, so popping the collar means I can shelter my neck from the cold and wind.

The teeth necklace is quite an old purchase but I managed to get it fixed (a night out in Malta does strange things to your clothes), so I'm re-introducing it into my outfits. The sweater and watch were a birthday present from my friends, while the friendship bracelet was given to me by Nicole for Christmas. I love them all to bits.

Off to bake my first-ever cake... wish me luck!

A Very Berry Christmas

(Don't forget to check out Claire's Christmas outfit down below!)

Merry belated Christmas to you all! I hope you had a great day with your nearest and dearest.

I thought it would be quite appropriate to wear burgundy on Christmas Day, not only because it's one of the colours of this fashion season but also because it's quite evocative of the festive season so it was a win-win situation, really.

There's not much else I can add except that I love white shirts. I think you can never have enough – the one I'm wearing here is one of my more recent purchases in the white shirt department. Always look out for details which make it a bit more special than the average shirt.

On with the photos!

Outfit Post: Embroidered Leather

Hello Boys and Girls!

Wearing Zara Chevron shirt, Zara Peplum vest, H&M leather bomber jacket, Massimo Dutti chelsea boots

This was yesterday's outfit! When I saw this leather vest on Garance DorĂ© I knew I had to have it, so when I spotted it at Zara the following day, I snatched it off the shelves immediately. I think it's a great buy! For one thing it's not everyday that you find a leather piece that's actually embroidered… It's also so wearable; it can be worn on its own for a more formal/sexy look, or, when themed with a shirt, as I did here, it becomes the perfect daywear. Don't you just love it when your clothes are multifunctional?

First Outfit Post

Hi everyone! My first outfit post finally… sorry it's taken me a while to upload but it's been a crazy busy week for me, but in a good way at least :)

Anyway, hope you're all doing well and enjoying the cooler weather. I absolutely love winter, playing with layers makes outfits that little bit more interesting, wouldn't you agree?
